I get three awesome gifts this year, and they're so lovely that I encourage you to read them all. Two of them are original work, so no fandom knowledge is necessary, and the only thing you need to know about the Hetalia fic is that Liechtenstein is personalized to be Switzerland's little sister.

Title: No Wind of Blame
Fandoms: Original Work
Rating: PG
Warning: Choose Not To Use Archive Warnings
Pairing: Queen/Royal Spy
Summary: If he cannot be the man at her side, he will at least be the sword in her hand.

Comment: It's an original fic, so no fandom knowledge is necessary. It's set in 1950s, and the main pairing is the royal spy/future queen. The political conspiracy and intrigue feels so realistic, and reminds me of the better work of John le Carre. The hero is such a perfect spy: cynical, immoral and yet stoically sacrifices for his love (stoic suffering from love is the best kind! ), and the heroine is awesome too, relatively innocent but smart and strong in her own way.

Title: The Coup
Fandoms: Original Work
Rating: General Audiences
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Pairing: Queen/Royal Spy
Summary: To think, the first of her orders he wished to reject, was the one which forced him into safety.

Comment: Another fic that answers my original Queen/Royal Spy prompt, and it's equally awesome. It's a fantasy setting, set at the brink of a rebellion, and I really love how much restraint and tenderness between the queen and the spy. It's really good to my loyalty kink, and the politics implied is intriguing. The Queen is stoic and reserved, which made her concern for the spy really touching, and the spy is so loyal to the queen. I feel rally grateful to have 2 great take of the same prompt.

Title: Love in Linen
Fandoms: Hetalia: Axis Powers
Rating: G
Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply
Summary: Liechtenstein decides to make Switzerland a present, just because.

Comment: It's really cute! Liechtenstein decides to make a handkerchief for her elder brother Switzerland, and I love the details the writer put into the process. Liechtenstein is really adorable and lovely, and Switzerland is the best big brother. I really love how he appreciates the gift by using it anywhere yet  "it was always clean, not stained, despite everything it touched, and the linen never had a single wrinkle." Really heartwarming.
