Have you met... Marvel Adventures: Avengers?

Marvel Adventure: Avengers
Marvel Adventures: Avengers is an all-age superhero Marvel comics featuring a diversified cast: Captain America, Iron Man, Spiderman, Giant Girl, Storm, Wolverine and Hulk. t's a wonderful alternative from the mainstream 616 universe by being self-contained and has great stories, character interaction, and dialogue. New readers can get into it easily while old comics readers will be delighted at the subtle reference. It's a great read that the superheroes are good friends and belong to an effective team, good at their jobs, with minimum angst and gratuitous violence. The action 's fast-paced and the characterization is good, and I love the colorful and clear art.

Fanfic recs:
Everyone's a Critic by duc (G, Steve Rogers/Tony Stark)
Summary: Steve scrap booking with Jan. Everyone's a critic.
Comment: It's really a cute fic and I like Steve and Tony's slow developing romance.

Pronoun Problems by Ladymordecai (G, team-centric gen)
Summary: Just another day in the Marvel Adventures: Avengers universe. And some other places.
Comment: The action scene is good and I like how they meet their counterparts.

Like Ants To A Picnic by jazzypom(G, Hank Pym/Janet van Dyne)
Summary: Hank really likes Jan, and wants to make his intentions be known to her, but things keep getting in the way, such as hickory sauce, and ants. Huh, it's Marvel Adventures, so it's probably a Thursday.
Comment: Hank and Jan are so awkwardly adorable together.

Engaging the Enemy by tsukinofaerii(PG, team-centric gen)
Summary: Iron Man is one of the more persistent villains that the Ultimates face, with a special fondness for one Captain America. As Steve starts to findout more and more about him, the lines between hero and villain begin to blur. Sometimes, you don't have to be on the right side of the law to be in the right.
Comment: It has plenty humour, great action scene and a good plot. Everyone is fantastic.

Comfortably Numb (or not) by marinarusalka(G, gen)
Summary: Some things in life, even Captain America has trouble being heroic about.
Comment: Steve needs a hug and Tony tries to be a good friend
