In your own space, share a favorite memory about fandom: the first time you got into fandom, the last time a fanwork touched your heart, wild times with fellow fans (whether on-line or off-line), a lovely comment you’ve received or have left for someone.

My first active fandom is the comics Steve Rogers/Tony Stark fandom, which was very friendly to new fans like me. The resources posts in cap_ironman were very helpful, and they regularly organized fannish events. I had a good time with making friends and writing fics. I left because I was disappointed about the canon development, but I still enjoyed the time

Definitely! The fans were really kind and welcoming, which eased my anxiety.

It's so great when a fandom is welcoming, especially when it is a bigger, already established one. Even if it didn't stick, it is nice that the experience went well and you have good memories to look back on. :D
