23 JUNE: Typing Day: How well do you type? I still typed with two fingers. :(

>>One of the best classes I took in high school was typing. I think they call it keyboarding now. I type about 100 words per minute. I used that skill in college to type papers for other people to help pay bills. Now I use it for writing. I compose directly to the keyboard, not longer transcribing what fanfic I write on a steno.

25 JUNE: Day of the Seafarer: Have you (or would you) ever go on a sea voyage? I would love to, but I get seasick just from a 2 hour ferry journey. I'm afraid I'm not build for that.

>>I get seasick in a rowboat, so no, I'd not be a good sailor.

27 JUNE: Onion Day: Onions. Yay or nay? I like caramelized onion seasoned with soy sauce and mirin.

>>I put Onions in nearly every savory dish you can imagine. I get that from my mother. She used to eat onions like most people ate apples. I'm not that far gone about them, but close.

30 JUNE: Social Media Day: What are the best and worst parts of social media? Good: up-to-dated local news which you may not get from mainstream news media. Bad: radicalization, cyberbullying and doxxing

>>I think pretty much the same as you do. I do like that we can communicate immediately with friends by way of messenger and emails and don't have to wait for snail mail. The bad is the doom scrolling that can happen. Seems like there's always tons of negative stories to read through.

8 JULY: Coca-Cola Day: Coca-cola. Yay or nay? Yes, I like light coca-cola more than the regular version.

>>Because of my gout, I can't have any kind of soda. When I did drink it, I didn't drink it often, but it was always Sprite Zero. I've never been a cola girl of any kind.

17 JULY: World Emoji Day: What emoji do you use most? 😅

>>I use the smiley a lot. It beats the LOL that was using for a while.

I'm so glad I learned some typing skills. It's made my life so much easier. I'd hate to have to learn it now though. My learning skills have greatly reduced over the years.

I can swim, but I'm not a fan of it. I wear contacts which are hazardous in the water, but I'm blind without them. There's no telling where I'd end up.

I'm totally with you on limiting my exposure to social media. I'm on a news diet now. So much negative stuff going on, that it wears me out and makes me anxious. So, I just have to trickle the news to avoid a tsunami of emotions when I see some of the reports of what's happening in the world and in particular our little part of it.
