Challenge #7: Wish List

In your own space, create a list of at least three things you'd love to receive, something you've wanted but were afraid to ask for - a wishlist of sorts. Maybe you will grant a wish. If any wishes are granted, we'd love it if you link them to this post.

• Rec for music: Languages don't matter. Any era is fine. I love a variety of music style: pop, metal, country, folk, instrumental, etc. I prefer band with female vocalists or female singers.
• Fanart recs: Just link me any SFW fanart that you enjoy. I want to be tempted. XD
• Fics that focus on characters stoically pining for someone that don't seem to able to return their feeling, and with a happy ending. M/M or F/F.I can read canon blind.

琴師 - 音頻怪物 | A Stringed Instrument Player - Yīnpín Guàiwu (Music Video)

It's only 5 minutes long and has English dub, so it's an easy watch:

The song tells a bittersweet story between a war captive stringed instrument player and the enemy court guard who releases him from shackles. Unexpected mercy, stolen moment of connection and eventual parting - so much yearning and potential for fanwork.

Recommending some fanart...

All of the art that katribou has drawn for Persona 2 is a gift. Their angular style is equally fitting for goofy art about a character's gardening habits or the incredibly divorced energy of the big bad and the mysterious mentor character and for impactful, emotional illustrations that explore the parallel nature of the protag and his shipbait friend-turned-foe-turned-romantic interest, or the way said romantic interest's personified inner self has no face.

And then for my more recent fannish obsession, I've been really feeling Ensemble Stars!!, though my art likes there are a little more spread out! A couple that stick out to me though...

• tternya has some great stuff about the character HiMERU, but the highlight that I think of most is Play house with me, which provides a gives a surreal illustration of the way that HiMERU forced another member of his group into a pseudo-brother/boyfriend relationship as a way to grapple with the relationship he'd been denied by his actual brother being rendered comatose.
• werothepine draws art of Ryuseitai, specifically Chiaki and Kanata that makes me feral. Comics depicting a surreal nightmare where Kanata disappears back into the cult that raised him? Animating the opening of one of the key stories about them? Or maybe just some classic cute art of the the ship hugging! They've got a bit of everything.
• littleforest-walk makes art about Wataru and Eichi that makes me go a little insane. Their dense compositions and scratchy style just say SO MUCH about the pair, from Wataru's jesterly theatrics to Eichi's vicious-yet-delicate state... This one springs to mind as does this one, but there's plenty to see just perusing in general. They also do Madoka fanart.
