Dear Yuletide writer,
Thank you so much for attempting to create a fanwork for me! I'm sure I will love it anyways, but here are some details about what I like/dislike, in case you like to do your research.

First off, I would rather receive a work that the creator was enthusiastic about than one that fulfilled every detail of my request. These are guidelines meant to help you, not to cage you.

I am open to both plot-driven stories and character pieces. Plot with porn is fine and fun, but I am OK with stories without sex! I generally prefer lighthearted stories, That said, I love good angst - as long as it ends happily. No 'hurt' without 'comfort'. So no pain-filled death stories, pretty please. I love romantic story, but I need realism even in my mush.

I like stories with: amnesia, action/adventure, alternative universes, banter, capture and rescue, competence, crossover, dominance and submission, the edge between civilization and the unknown, formation of friendship, history affecting the present, humour, hurt/comfort, longing, matchmaker, love or friendship expressed in atypical ways, moral ambiguity, opposite attraction, outsider POV, people telling stories, people who have each other 's backs, people who flat out like each other's company, people suffering stoically, power exchange, resolve, secret identity (or lack of it), strong and competent characters, sense memory, time travel, traveling.

In a rare case you have not yet given up on my rambling and want to research me more, I 've told more about what I like here.

Seriously, If you go the AU route-- or just in general-- please don't worry too much about making everything fit exactly into canon. I am *not* going to be super-picky about what happened when, or which characters were doing what during whatever event.

I don't particularly like: mpreg, soul-bonding or "destiny" in terms of romance, excessive possessiveness and/or jealousy portrayed as healthy or romantic, "we're not gay we just love each other," first person narration, graphic violence, torture, deadfic, heavy illness (e.g. cancer or AIDS), rape/noncon, unrelenting angst, hardcore kink, self-harm, incest or faux-incest, religion bashing, major public embarrassment, and/or female-character-bashing-- including dialogues like "Don't be such a girl," and so on. Please no crossover with Avengers.

And here are the four fandoms I requested, with the characters that I requested, and an Extended Edition of each of my requests! But again, these are just notes-- just, if you're the kind of person who wants to know *more* information about what I might possibly like, here it is-- and I will be thrilled with whatever you choose.

Fandom 1: Dà táng hóng yán fù | Tang Dynasty Girl Poem (music video)

Characters: Any

Optional Details: Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen, het or femslash. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. AU and crossovers are all right. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could write about how they try to be true to themselves within the society restraint, something that shows their intelligence or passion, or a fic that they interact with each other.

About the canon: The link to the video, lyrics and English translation
It's a music video about some very famous women in Tang Dynasty (618-907), who tried their best to live out their talents and dream against the restraint of the time.
薛涛 Xue Tao (wikipedia): XueTao was a successful and famous poet and courtesan. She managed to live independently at an old age.
鱼玄机 Yu Xuanji(wikipedia) : Escaping from domestic abuse, Yu Xuanji became a Taoist nun and some said a courtesan. Her poetry was rarely of an autobiographical style. She was said to be executed for killing her maid. 　　
上官婉儿 Shangguan Yuaner(wikipedia). Her grandfather sacrificed as a political pawn, only her talent and intelligent saved her from a life of slavery. She was smart, greatly talented both as a poet and government official, and loyal to the Empress Wu. After Wu's death, she was put to death as she was involved in a failed political plan against Emperor Xuanzong.　　
武则天 Wu Zetian(wikipedia). It requires ruthlessness, intelligence and luck to rise from a lowly royal concubine to the first and only Empress. Wu had all of these. She was willing to sacrifice a lot for her position but she was admired by some later historians. 　　

What I like about the canon and suggestion: What I like about the canon is that it has a lot of great women and presented them in a sympathetic way. The art and the poetic lyrics didn't hurt. It also gave the chance if you want to write women interacting with each other. I would like a work about any or any combination of women. Something about Xue Tao and literature? Yu's thought about romance? Wu and ShangGuan Yuarer's political career? AU is all right: What if Wu is secretly a Wulin Master? What if they're actually a part of a spy network? What if they're in Space? The only thing I ask is that you respect and acknowledge their Chinese female identity. If there's romance, which's not necessary, I quite like Wu/Shangguan Yuaner.

Fandom 2 Law and Order: MU

Characters: Any

Optional Details: Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen, het or femslash. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could write mystery that the characters have to solve, or how the characters have to balance superheroing and their job, or a fic about them exploring the underworld of Marvel.

About the canon: A blend of Birds of Prey and Law and Order, Law and Order: MU is an imaginary comics series that detailing several Marvel comics superheroine's lawful career. The blog post Basically it's an AU that Misty returns to the force to be a detective, Colleen now a forensic psychologist and Angela is private investigater.

What I like about the canon and suggestion: What I like about the canon is that it has a lot of great women and I really love the superhero side of law and order potential. I would like a work about any or any combination of women. Mystery plots are always welcome as I love hard boiled fiction and police procedurals. The complication brought about by super power is interesting too. The characters going on straight superhero adventure while balancing their jobs is good too. But character study is fine to me. Angela trying to adapt to being a private detective, Misty dealing with a return to the police force, or Colleen getting used to be a psychologist are all fine. If there's romance, which's not necessary, I like Misty/Colleen.

Fandom 3: X-23 (comics)

Characters: Jubilation Lee (X-23 (Comic),Laura Kinney (X-23 (Comic)

Optional Details Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen or femslash. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could write about how Jubilee and Laura go on superheroing, or hurt/comfort with a lot of comfort, or just a study of their relationship development.

About the canon: X-23, the teenaged and female clone of Wolverine, struggles with disapproving former teammates and her own conscience after her secret career as a member of the murderous X-Force is revealed.

What I like about the canon and suggestion: Laura is a killer. She knows it and she wants to change but she doesn’t know how. She sees Jubilee as an equal and assigns her the task of killing her. This is just a teenager reaching out for acceptance, in a (possibly deranged) way. Jubilee's more cheerful personality complements Laura's serious side very well. The relationship between Laura and Jubilee is so fascinating and I'd like to explore more. Anything from they trying to dealing with each other's killer side, Jubilee helping Laura to adapt to the world, they trying to go for a girl's night together (probably mean kicking ass to them, but please free to think of other options, like flag football), or hurt/comfort. I always love hurt/comfort. If there's romance, which's not necessary, I like Laura/Jubilee

Fandom 4: The Ultimates (comics)

Characters: Janet Van Dyne

Optional Details: Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen, or femslash. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could write about Jan and science, or how Jan adapts to event after vol. 2, or Jan going on superhero adventure. Please ignore Loeb's run and characterization.

About the canon

Extended request: I love Ultimates for its realistic portrayal of flawed superheroes trying to save the day. I love Jan for being a tough survivor, for being a genius scientist and a level-headed leader. I would like a fic exploring Jan's interest in science and making use of her profession to save the day, and how Jan adapts to the change of her life because she deserves time to recover and find her own way. Superhero adventure that Jan plays a privotal role is always great to me too. I also like interaction between her and Wanda. If there's romance, which's not necessary, I like Jan/Wanda. I'd prefer not including the canon Steve/Jan nor Hank/Jan. No detail of domestic abuse please.

Feel free to go through the mods anytime if you have some kind of question about any of this--but really, I will love whatever you write me. If your choice is between writing a story that is truly awesome and you're really excited about, as opposed to something that's exactly what I want, go with one that you're really excited about-- I will love it regardless, because it's awesome!
