◎ Stillness Creates the Wind   By Chi Lingyun    Tr Lush Greenness   Stillness creates moving air, and rivers seep underneath into earth. The setting sun fosters grayish housing buildings time and again Though its great void owns a blazing past. Dirt accumulates in each impounding reservoir and Deep sighs waft before the dawn, and then subsequent flames. I open my mouth but cannot let off a ballad. The bright mirror of early spring is broken upon the crumpled map. I am still capable of crooning a tune As I believe floating dusts turn into eternal beings and my distressed face Feels a sense of being embraced by death’s sympathy.
