It's one of the most popular and often introductory series for my generation to the world of animation. Even with the entirely terrible DiC butchering that appeared on Saturday morning, and that very much quickly erased the canonical lesbians.
The fanart recommendations are fabulous. Artists producing such neat visual things is always great to see.
