This year's Yuletide I am really productive and produce three times as the much stories than last year. My recipients are really gracious and like the gifts, which makes me happy.
When I receive my assignment I sweat because the Hero web comics is so sophiscated and thoughtful, the language is poetic that who am I to tackle the task? I spent a lot of time plotting and finally got inspiration from Invisible Cities and Thirteen Ways of Looking at a Blackbird (hence the title). My wonderful beta helped a lot in forming the structure.
Title: Ten ways of looking at a Valentine
Fandom: Hero (web comics)
Summary: Snapshots of Valentine's past, present and future

Considering how busy the pitch hit list is, I consider myself lucky to grab this. I had never watched the movie before but I was sure that it was easy to pick up the movie. I was right, but this presented a challenge. The plot ia an easy action romp, but as the recipient liked a character underepresented in canon, I spent a lot of time fleshing out the character.
Title: With Love, From Egypt
Fandom: ShénHuà | The Myth (2005)
Summary: Samantha and Jack followed a lead of ancient treasure to Egypt, but danger was already awaiting them.

muccamukk is the best enabler and prompt me to write an Immortal Iron Fist /Tang Dynasty RPF. (I am really surprised to see Tang Dynasty RPF nominated, actually) I originally wanted to write JinRong style wuxia story, but the plot bunny insists to have evil foxes that can turn human shape, soused poet and kickass swordwoman. It's fun to write too.
Title: The Tale of Youg Iron Fist from Kun Lun
Fandom: Táng Cháo | Tang Dynasty RPF / Immortal Iron Fist
Summary: In which our protagonist goes to Chang An, meets the top swordswoman in China, answers a challenge, and prevents a disaster.
