In recent years, a lot of people rent vacation houses at Cheung Chau, an island famous for tourism, to commit suicide. Therefore it begins to be a place of ghost stories.

The House on Go Street was a sanctuary for people with leprosy before WWII. Because of the misunderstanding about the disease then, it was literally a prison for them. During the WWII Japan occupation of Hong Kong, it was used for execution of Chinese people. After the defeat of Japan, it became a haunted place.

This house Nam Gu Toi 南固台 was built in 1918 by a rich man. It 's also called red house because of the red tiles used in building the house. It's almost abandoned now and there're a lot of ghost stories about it because in 1942-1945, Japanese invading soldiers raped and killed a lot of Chinese woman in this district the house was built in.

This road Wan Wui Road 's in the North of Hong Kong in the Chinese University of Campus. During the Cultural Revolution, many people from mainland China escape to Hong Kong despite the danger. As the university was close to the border, It was rumoured that a girl was accidentally killed by a train, which connected the mainland China and Hong Kong. Her ghost thus stayed there.

In 1918, a huge fire broke out in the racing course and claimed hundreds of lives. It thus became a haunted place in mass imagination.
