Dear Rarewomen Author

Dear writer,
Thank you so much for attempting to create a fanwork for me! I'm sure I will love it anyways, but here are some details about what I like/dislike, in case you like to do your research.
First off, I would rather receive a work that the creator was enthusiastic about than one that fulfilled every detail of my request. These are guidelines meant to help you, not to cage you.
I am open to both plot-driven stories and character pieces. Plot with porn is fine and fun, but I am OK with stories without sex! I generally prefer lighthearted stories, That said, I love good angst - as long as it ends happily. No 'hurt' without 'comfort'. So no pain-filled death stories, pretty please. I love romantic story, but I need realism even in my mush.
I like stories with: amnesia, action/adventure, alternative universes, banter, capture and rescue, competence, crossover, dominance and submission, the edge between civilization and the unknown, formation of friendship, history affecting the present, humour, hurt/comfort, longing, matchmaker, love or friendship expressed in atypical ways, moral ambiguity, opposite attraction, outsider POV, people telling stories, people who have each other 's backs, people who flat out like each other's company, people suffering stoically, power exchange, resolve, secret identity (or lack of it), strong and competent characters, sense memory, time travel, traveling.
In a rare case you have not yet given up on my rambling and want to research me more, I 've told more about what I like here.
Seriously, If you go the AU route-- or just in general-- please don't worry too much about making everything fit exactly into canon. I am *not* going to be super-picky about what happened when, or which characters were doing what during whatever event.
Fandom 1: Marvel comics (comics)
Characters: Janet Pym (Ultimates)
Optional Details: Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen, or femslash. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could write about Jan and science, or how Jan adapts to event after vol. 2, or Jan going on superhero adventure. Please ignore Loeb's run and characterization.
About the canon
Extended request: I love Ultimates for its realistic portrayal of flawed superheroes trying to save the day. I love Jan for being a tough survivor, for being a genius scientist and a level-headed leader. I would like a fic exploring Jan's interest in science and making use of her profession to save the day, and how Jan adapts to the change of her life because she deserves time to recover and find her own way. Superhero adventure that Jan plays a privotal role is always great to me too. I also like interaction between her and Wanda. If there's romance, which's not necessary, I like Jan/Wanda. I'd prefer not including the canon Steve/Jan nor Hank/Jan. No detail of domestic abuse please.
For Misty & / or Colleen
I am curious about the early day, when the characters were getting to know each other and work in a team. I am also glad to receive missing scene or what happen after the canon. I like a story that the characters go on adventure, especially with a mystery plot, but I will also be satisfied with a story focusing on the relationship between Misty and Colleen or an individual introspective piece. Happy or at least hopeful endings are preferred. AU, crossover and crack are all OK.
n terms of pairings-- I like Danny/Misty, Misty/Colleen, or Danny/Misty/Colleen/Luke. Stories without sex, story with sex, first time or established relationships are all OK.
Fandom 2: Hero (web comics)
HERO is a story about memory and journey . It is surreal, and touching, and beautiful, and dreamlike, and unfinished (alas), and only about 250 pages of art and hover text if you don’t know the source material but want to check it out. (http://invisiblecities.comicgenesis.com/story.html)
I love the dreaminess of this comic and the characters and, just, everything. I want to find out more about everyone . I want more of the dreamy, poetic ideas in the story. (I'm a sucker for the poetic and this webcomic has that in spades.)There is nothing about this comic that I don't love, no character I wouldn't want to discover more about.
I have no idea how the series is going to end (seriously, no clue), but if you wanted to write future fic about what happens eventually to the characters I'd be cool with that. Angsty is fine, but I'd prefer if it was at least vaguely hopefulish
Fandom 3: .hack//quantum
Characters: Any
This is another series in which I love that the girls are interacting in the greater sphere of things, and saving the world in between their finals! Also, you can wear your computers really easily, and that's pretty cool.
I would love post-canon fic with any paring of girls, or all of the girls, and how their experiences of playing in the World has affected their relationship. Either right after or speculating about college would be fine by me!
I love .hack// in general quite a bit. There are characters who are supported in being who they are, online, and the World is a place that exists, for better or for worse to support that. You may have to be something else in reality, but in the World, you make your own choices.
Quantum is my favorite .hack series for a few reasons. First, I enjoy the girl's friendship quite a bit. Secondly, I love the way they their interactions span the World and reality. The characters do act markably different in some ways in reality and offline, and yet they're still friends, very close ones. Put it together with Shamrock, and I am all over this series.
I would love to see this relationship grow closer, in any combination you choose. Tobias/Sakura I enjoy quite a bit, but I like all the parings possible. I also enjoy fanstuff taking place offline as much as online, so feel free to choose!
Fandom 4: Chinese Mythology
Characters: Any
I love, love retellings of myth-- subversions, inversions, deconstructions, playing with tropes. Cut any tale here to its basic elements: for Chang'e | 嫦娥, for example, we have a beautiful woman, a male lover, an Emperor, the influence of immortality, a rabbit, a Moon. Do whatever you like with these elements. Or alternately, I would enjoy something that delves into the daily lives of a particular character as you envision them. I would like stories to remain in the same approximate era or at least in the mold of "a long time ago..." instead of a modern AU. I also prefer that you focus on one particular tale or character instead of writing, say, a fic where characters from half a dozen unconnected folktales meet.
Fandom 5: Cute Knight Kingdom
Characters: The Player
About the canon: Cute Knight Kingdom a life/dating game from Hanako Games, with a charming take on traditional fantasy games. The player set out to find her destiny, travel the kingdom to meet new friends, find treasure, and encounter monsters! She could become a hero, find true love, discover the truth of your origins... or embrace villainy as an evil warlord. Don't worry that it's a game canon. It's actually easy to pick up what's going on by reading the following links. (spoilers, of course)

Extended Prompts: I love this game so much. Whatever aspect you want to focus on - adventuring, jobs, school, festivals, endings - would be wonderful. I'd just be so utterly delighted. I love any stories that st during the game or post-canon fic. If you can write about how the player character and Alana deals with politics and court intrigue, or going on adventure with Helena aka Xena and Gabrielle, or how she becomes a pirate with Robin is all right to me. Alternatively, you can write about other endings but I prefer them to be hopeful in tone

I don't particularly like: mpreg, soul-bonding or "destiny" in terms of romance, excessive possessiveness and/or jealousy portrayed as healthy or romantic, "we're not gay we just love each other," first person narration, graphic violence, torture, deadfic, heavy illness (e.g. cancer or AIDS), rape/noncon, unrelenting angst, hardcore kink, self-harm, incest or faux-incest, religion bashing, major public embarrassment, and/or female-character-bashing-- including dialogues like "Don't be such a girl," and so on.
And here are the four fandoms I requested, with the characters that I requested, and an Extended Edition of each of my requests! But again, these are just notes-- just, if you're the kind of person who wants to know *more* information about what I might possibly like, here it is-- and I will be thrilled with whatever you choose.Fandom 1: Marvel comics (comics)
