Straight Guys Series is a m/m romance series that one half of the main couple is certain that they are straight, until they are proven not. Quite a number of them are so repressed that they can't entertain the possibility that they are bi/gay, or loudly homophobic. Common tropes in the series include hurt/comfort, co-dependency, the guy more powerful on the outside (because of their age/status/wealth/etc) falling for the other first. There are currently 13 novels and 1 novella in the series. The newest one Just a Bit Heartless is coming out next week.

I have read Straight Boy: A Short Story, Just a Bit Obsessed, Just a Bit Ruthless, Just a Bit Shameless, Just a Bit Gay and Just a Bit Wrecked. I am planning to read Just a Bit Wicked, Just a Bit Dirty, and Just a Bit Bossy

Straight Boy: A Short Story: In this novella, Sage attracts unwanted attraction in the prison because of his look. His cellmate Xavier offers protection by passing Sage as his prison bitch. However, when Sage lets out that it's for appearance only, they have to put on a public performance to protect themselves. Sage is certain that he's gay and he already has a girlfriend, but he's still unwillingly attracted to Xavier even after his release. I really like the forced intimacy trope, and Sage's inner conflict feels believable to me.

Just a Bit Obsessed: Trouble begins when Alexander Sheldon's girlfriend invites another guy Christian into a threesome against Alexander's protest. At first Alexander and Christian dislike each other, but their animosity grows into conflicted mutual attraction. Both Alexander and Christian want to quit because of guilt and angst, but at the end they get each other. I really like the angst threesome scenes when they use it as pretense to reach for the other against their reason.

Just a Bit Ruthless: To prove himself, Luke Whitford takes his father's place to go to a business dinner with his father's business rival Roman Demidov, who snatches Luke as leverage. Both try to manipulate the other for their trust, but mutual attraction grows in a match of Stockholm Syndrome and Lima Syndrome. I like it better than the previous books because it takes time to develop the real stakes. There's d/s dynmaic and daddy kink which ymmv, but I just happen to like.

Just a Bit Shameless: The main couple appears in Just a Bit Ruthless as side character, and it's better to read  that first so as not to get spoiled. This one has my favourite tropes: going undercover as a couple, and the younger character actively pursuing the reluctant older character whom he wraps around his little finger.

Just a Bit Gay: Here's a friends to friends with benefit to lover romance. Tyler Meyer is like a cute puppy with low self esteem, thanks to his very conservative and strict parents. When he discovers to his shock that he really likes anal play, he starts a friend-with-benefit arrangement with his openly gay best friend Nick Hardaway. Nick is reluctant because he knows what a mess it is to get entangled with a self proclaimed straight guy like Tyler, not to mention that he doesn't want to ruin their friendship with sex. Their relationship becomes a messy mess befuddled by the sex. There's a lot of feminization humiliation dirty talk that Tyler enjoys despite himself, which is rare in m/m romance I have come across.

Just a Bit Wrecked: Andrew Reyes is married and outspoken about his homophobia. Logan McCall is openly gay and really doesn't appreciate Andrew 's derogatory remarks, but a plane crash forces them to rely on each other as the only survivors stranded on a little island for months. It's a love born out of mutual need and desperation, with hurt/comfort, sharing the same bed and codependency. I like it best because it speaks to my id.
