 What is the name of...

 

1. Your favorite book? My recent favourite is "The Heaven Official’s Blessing": so many layers and secret reveal.

 

2. Your favorite movie? Barbie. It's fun, and it's what I imagined Barbie's world would look like as a kid. It also has insightful commentary about sexism. 
 

3. Your least favorite adaptation of a book to a movie? Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. It misses the point of the novel. Wonka doesn't need a woeful backstory.

 

4. Your least favorite adaptation ever of anything to a movie? The Dark Knight, mostly because I dislike grim dark superhero movies and their impact in general.

 

5. Your first ever novel/comic book/movie character crush? Kougaiji from Saiyuki. The scene when a brainwashed Kougaiji is ordered to comb Gyokumen Koushu's long hair imprints on kid!me.

Kougaiji is so good! I haven't followed Saiyuki for a long time, but it has shaped my fictional preference.

I really wish I knew how it ended or if it ever did. My current car is named Gojyo though to be fair, like you I haven't touched the fandom in forever

The manga is still ongoing due to the manga artist's health. I hope she gets better and one day can finish it.

Yeah that's what I thought. I know her health issues are severe

Ah, Saiyuki, such nostalgia! And Barbie sure was a fun movie 💗
