Looking at the post-apocalyptic paintings, I have to say - they're very human-centric, still. Which isn't to say human effort won't survive at all, but there was a remarkable level of intact going on.

And very few of the pictures had much in the way of nature going on - mild overgrowth was about it.

That's true. I guess painters' imagination of a post-apocalyptic 's always restrained by a human-centric view. Or maybe they want the contrast of human ruin and nature.
