Letter to my yuletide writer

Dear Yuletide writer,
Thank you so much for attempting to write a fic for me! I'm sure I will love it anyways, but here are some details about what I like/dislike, in case you like to do your research.
First off, I would rather receive a fic that the author was enthusiastic about than one that fulfilled every detail of my request. These are guidelines meant to help you, not to cage you.
I like stories with: amnesia, action/adventure, alternative universes, banter, capture and rescue, competence, crossover, dominance and submission, the edge between civilization and the unknown, formation of friendship, history affecting the present, humour, hurt/comfort, longing, matchmaker, love or friendship expressed in atypical ways, moral ambiguity, opposite attraction, outsider POV, people telling stories, people who have each other 's backs, people who flat out like each other's company, people suffering stoically, power exchange, resolve, secret identity (or lack of it), strong and competent characters, sense memory, time travel, traveling.
Seriously, If you go the AU route-- or just in general-- please don't worry too much about making everything fit exactly into canon. I am *not* going to be super-picky about what happened when, or which characters were doing what during whatever event.
I don't particularly like: mpreg, soul-bonding or "destiny" in terms of romance, excessive possessiveness and/or jealousy portrayed as healthy or romantic, "we're not gay we just love each other," first person narration, graphic violence, torture, deadfic, heavy illness (e.g. cancer or AIDS), rape/noncon, unrelenting angst, hardcore kink, self-harm, incest or faux-incest, religion bashing, major public embarassment, and/or female-character-bashing-- including dialogue like "Don't be such a girl," and so on.
RequestFandomChar1:William Wilberforce
RequestDetail1: I like gen or het. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, romance, established relationships-- stories with no sex, or stories with vanilla sex-- I like missing scenes and stuff that takes place before, or after canon-- I like when characters sit and think by themselves, and I like stories about relationship between Wilberforce and any other character. Realistic setting will be a plus, and I like stories with hopeful endings-- but really, write anything! Anything is fine!
I am a practicing Protestant so I am very impressed by how Wilberforce tries hard to do the right thing and adhere to the Christian faith despite the obstacle he has to endure. He may never have expected the long and painful fight and has been in doubt for a while, but he still carries on after the success and continue to fight the good fight until the very end of his life. It speaks much of his indegrity and strength. The final hopeful and triumphant ending is inspiring too. Anything Wilberforce-related (his decision to join the politics, the fight against slavery and the toil on his life, for example) is good. I like character introspection. For example, what was going through his mind when he accept Christianity, takes up politics and carry on in the movement? The exploration of his faith will be lovely, but you can leave it alone if it doesn't strike your fancy. I also like any of the other listed characters and would like to see stories focusing on Wilberforce's relationship with any of them. There are sadly not enough study of Wilberforce-Spooner marriage and Wilberforce-John friendship. The movie seems very realistic to me so exploration of the aspects of the setting will be a plus, and I have a fondness for stories from an outsider POV. To go in a completely different direction, I would love what happens before and after the canon as well. What is the lasting effect of drug use of him? How does the experience shapes himself and his faith?

RequestDetail2: Anything would be great! I'm totally okay with gen, slash, het or femslash, and I don't mind death stories in this fandom. If you want a prompt, though, it would be awesome if you could explore the various aspects of the setting, or write about the canon relationship. I like story focusing on friendship, or first times, and established relationships. I also like when characters go out for adventure or sit and think by themselves. These are just some suggestions, though; if none of those appeal to you, then just write anything in the universe and I'll be thrilled. Just please don't whitewash the universe.
Liaozhai Zhiyi is both highly critically acclaimed and popular, which is easy to see why. The skillfully weaved fantasy world building is innovative even read today. The stories can be read and enjoyed as straight ghost stories, but they also explore social issues, religion and philosophy. The touch of magic realism, the dream-like setting and the romanticism fascinate me.The supernatural characters are intriguingly complex and sympathetic, yet clearly alien, adhering to a set of rule other than our own. Therefore I would love stories that explore aspects of the setting. What is the hidden nature of the supernatural world? How do the supernatural characters perceive the two worlds they travel in-and-fro? A first contact story is good too. The misunderstanding and conflict that may arise seem like good fodder for drama. Like the canon, the story can be of any tone: serious and unsettling, wonder and exploration, light and fluffy or total crack. As I have a fondness for characters who are trying to adapt to a new situation, I would like to see more on the supernatural characters dealing with the struggle of living in a human world and being in a relationship with humans, or vice versa. AU, crossover or crack are fine as long as the story is still rooted in Chinese legends. In term of pairing, The canon relationships are wonderfully highly diversified: het, slash, poly, you name it so any combination of the characters will be welcome. pimping post
RequestFandom3: Avengers or New Avengers (comic)
RequestFandomChar3: Steve Rogers aka Captain America / Tony Stark aka Iron Man
RequestDetail1:
I'd really love any story that focuses on their relationship -- bonds being forged or tested, or the change from one stage in a relationship to the next, or one is trying to get through to another. I like the early days that they are both adapting (Steve to being unfrozen, Tony to the secret double identity), but the New Avengers era is great too. In terms of pairings, if the story is going to involve romance/sex, I would prefer Steve/Tony, but a gen piece on their friendship is fine. Just please don't pair either character with someone else.

Avengers and New Avengers: Steve Rogers aka Captain America / Tony Stark aka Iron Man
What I like about Avengers and New Avengers is that people of different backgrounds are drawn and stick together as a closely knitted team, like a family with the usual drama but always have each other 's back. I like Steve Rogers because he is decent, idealistic, competent, and never settles for an easy answer. He loves his country but is not blind to its fault and adapts fast. I love Tony Stark because he is an engineering genius inventor, and he persists on the right thing even when it is much easier to opt out. They have nearly nothing in common, with every reason to not get along-- and then they bond over a common goal, and then over time grow even closer, becoming *family*. Both independent and competent heroes in their own right, with their own sphere of life, they can easily click into another's life even after a long absence. Stories set in the early day, Avengers vol. 3 or New Avengers lineup is all OK. I especially love stories that take into account and explore their common history. If you want more detailed plot idea, I have a soft spot for the supposedly strong and stoic characters being cared for. I also like when characters are dumped into uncomfortable/unfamiliar situations and struggle to cope (and at least partially succeeding). Angst is fine as long as I still get my happy ending.

RequestDetail4:
I am curious about the early day, when the characters were getting to know each other and work in a team. I am also glad to receive missing scene or what happen after the canon. I like a story that the characters go on adventure, especially with a mystery plot, but I will also be satisfied with a story focusing on the relationship(s) between any combination of the characters or an individual introspective piece. Happy or at least hopeful endings are preferred. AU, crossover and crack are all OK.
In terms of pairings-- if the story is going to involve romance/sex, I would prefer Steve/Tony or a canon pairing--basically, Hank/Jan, or Storm/canon love interest. I could be convinced of a pairing of combination of any other characters though.
I love that Marvel Adventures: Avengers is easily accessible to new readers, and gently guide them to bigger continuality. (The guest appearance of the Golden age superheroes still cheers me up when I see it) I it is supposed to be the kid line to Marvel's superheroes title, but it has light-hearted humour, wacky adventures, and competent characters who care about each other, that I am sure appeal to all. Every character gets a chance of the spot light. Smart characters get to be smart and kickass (Bruce Banner! Hank Pym! Tigra). That is why I would like an ensemble piece that they all go on adventure or have their down time as well as a story that focus on relationship between any combination of characters. I am curious about how they get to know each other and work as a team, but a story set in other times is fine. Of course, a story about any individual character in the listing would also be great-- I'd love a story about Tigra adjusting to being in a team, Bruce dealing with his double personality, Storm comparing X-Men to the Avengers, etc. Please feel free to throw any crack in (The Avengers are turned into kids! Time travel! Unicorn and rainbow!).
In terms of pairings, if the story is going to involve romance/sex, I would prefer Steve/Tony or a canon pairing--basically, Hank/Jan, or Storm/canon love interest. For other characters, I could be convinced of any combination of them.
Feel free to go through the mods anytime if you have some kind of question about any of this--but really, I will love whatever you write me. If your choice is between writing a story that is truly awesome and you're really excited about, as opposed to something that's exactly what I want, go with one that you're really excited about-- I will love it regardless, because it's awesome!
