Thank you so much for attempting to create a fanwork for me! I'm sure I will love it anyways, but here are some details about what I like/dislike, in case you like to do your research.
I like stories with: amnesia, action/adventure, alternative universes, banter, capture and rescue, competence, crossover, dominance and submission, the edge between civilization and the unknown, formation of friendship, history affecting the present, humour, hurt/comfort, longing, matchmaker, love or friendship expressed in atypical ways, moral ambiguity, opposite attraction, outsider POV, people telling stories, people who have each other 's backs, people who flat out like each other's company, people suffering stoically, power exchange, resolve, secret identity (or lack of it), strong and competent characters, sense memory, time travel, traveling.
In a rare case you have not yet given up on my rambling and want to research me more, I told more about what I like here.
Seriously, If you go the AU route-- or just in general-- please don't worry too much about making everything fit exactly into canon. I am *not* going to be super-picky about what happened when, or which characters were doing what during whatever event.For ganart/graphic, I would like to keep thing SFW. For fanvid, I'd appreciate including the lyrics in some way bcause of my hearing difficulties.

It's a song about some very famous women in Tang Dynasty (618-907), who tried their best to live out their talents and dream against the restraint of the time.
杨玉环 Yang Yuwan(wikipedia) Yang was a famous beloved royal concubine of Emperor Xuanzong executed in a rebellion and her story was romanticized in A Song of Unending Sorrow by Bai juyi, which influenced both later Chinese and Japanese literature.
江采蘋Jiang Caiping: The early favourite royal concubine of Emperor Xuanzong, she was said to have great literary talents, master the art of dizi, and when she lost the Emperor's favour, she rejected his gifts of pearls, saying thAt wealth was never what she sought. .
高阳 Princess Gao Yang: As the favourite daughter of Emperor Taizong, she was in love with a Buddhist monk even whhen she was married. Angering the Emperor, he executed the monk. She was later executed when she was said to be involved in a plan to betray the Emperor on flimsy evidence.
薛涛 Xue Tao (wikipedia): XueTao was a successful and famous poet, but she lived a lonely life and men were not a good news to her.
鱼玄机 Yu Xuanji(wikipedia) : Escaping from domestic abuse, Yu Xuanji became a Taoist nun and some said a courtesan. Her poetry was rarely of an autobiographical style. She was said to be executed for killing her maid.
上官婉儿 Shangguan Yuaner(wikipedia). Her grandfather sacrificed as a political pawn, only her talent and intelligent saves her from a life of slavery. She was smart, greatly talented both as a poet and government official, and loyal to the Empress Wu. After Wu's death, she was put to death as she was involved in a failed political plan against Emperor Xuanzong.
武则天 Wu Zetian(wikipedia). It requires ruthlessness, intelligence and luck to rise from a lowly royal concubine to the first and only Empress. Wu had all of these. She was willing to sacrifice a lot for her position but she was admired by later historians.
What I like about the canon and suggestion: What I like about the canon is that it has a lot of great women and presented them in a sympathetic way. The art and the poetic lyrics didn't hurt. It also gave the chance if you want to write women interacting with each other. I would like a work about any or any combination of women. It can be historical or a reimagination: What if Wu is secretly a Wulin Master? What if they're actually a part of a spy network? What if they're in Space? The only thing I ask is that you respect and acknowledge their Chinese female identity.
For fanart/graphicfanvids: I really want to see the characters interacting, drinking tea, fighting people, anything goes, as long as it's safe for work. Threre're many visual versions of the characters , and you can use any of them. AU is all right.

What I like about the canon and suggestion: It's a very to-the-point video showing what I love about the film: women saving women, women talking with women, women exchanging bodies with women and finally women sharing body with each other. Therefore please go wild with it. You can use the film as reference or interpret the video in a different way. Creating fanworks set in the past, current or future , or AU of the women is totally fine to me. For fanart/.graphic/vid, there's the link to the full movie if it's useful.

What I like about the canon and suggestion: What I love about the canon is that it has so many place to fill in. The world building is crying to be more detailed, the story had so many missing moments that it 's perfect for creating fanwork. Show me more about the world, tell me about the story of the woman scientist and her community. I really want more exploration of the film.

What I like about the canon and suggestion:I like the glimpse of the world building and the characters are intriguing. Please show me more about the world: Why does the king want the monster killed? Who is Ku Ye actually? What happens between him and Bai Ma? What does Yue Ye think? If you want to go the way of metafiction, be my guest.

About the canon: Sleep Dealer (2008) is a dystopic near future cyberpunk film that after the American-Mexico border is closed, and people are connected to the network, a young man tries to buy a dream because of a tragedy, with a novelist hired by a mysterious man to buy his memory. What I like about the canon and suggestion: I like cyberpunk. I like the film 's attempt to explore the immigrant problems, virtual reality and the humanity. I woule to see more world building. Tell me more about this world. Show me how these people live. An exploration of the characters before, during and after the film is also great. For fanart/fanvid/graphic, I really like to capture about the world more, but you want to focus on characters, it's fine to me.
Feel free to go through the mods anytime if you have some kind of question about any of this--but really, I will love whatever you write me. If your choice is between writing a story that is truly awesome and you're really excited about, as opposed to something that's exactly what I want, go with one that you're really excited about-- I will love it regardless, because it's awesome!

First off, I would rather receive a work that the creator was enthusiastic about than one that fulfilled every detail of my request. These are guidelines meant to help you, not to cage you.

I don't particularly like: mpreg, soul-bonding or "destiny" in terms of romance, excessive possessiveness and/or jealousy portrayed as healthy or romantic, "we're not gay we just love each other," first person narration, graphic violence, torture, deadfic, heavy illness (e.g. cancer or AIDS), rape/noncon, unrelenting angst, hardcore kink, self-harm, incest or faux-incest, religion bashing, major public embarrassment, and/or female-character-bashing-- including dialogues like "Don't be such a girl," and so on.
