Bromite: Chromium fork with enhancements such as a built-in adblocker and enhanced privacy. Currently my main browser.

Markor: lightweight markup text editor with autosave feature for note-taking and list management

Goodtime: A minimalist but powerful productivity timer with nice interface. No ads

VLC: plays almost any format (video/audio)

Keepass2Android: password manager app that the database can sync across devices

They can all be downloaded and updated through f-droid

Thanks for the recs! I already use some of these (VLC, Markor) but I'm happy to have discovered Goodtime and Bromite.
