HalfAMoon Day 9 – Space: Lego Sets with Women in Space

These lego sets are both NASA branded to celebrate women in NASA and encourage a future generation of girls in space. They are beautiful, realistic and detailed. Too bad I can't afford them.

Women of NASA Lego Set:


This celebrates accomplished woman scientists and astronauts, including: Nancy Grace Roman, known as the "Mother of Hubble,"; Margaret Hamilton, who was the lead software designer for the Apollo 11 moon landing, Sally Ride, the first American woman in space, and Mae Jemison, the first African-American woman in space.

Olivia's Space Academy


Part of the LEGO Friends line. "Olivia attends the space academy to train as an astronaut under her mentor Dr Alvah.". This includes a space academy with a classroom and mission control, a Shuttle model and an observatory.

These are really cool. I had dreams of becoming an astronaut at one point. I would have loved these. Thanks so much for sharing.
